We here at Te Kura Māori o Ngā Tapuwae celebrate the achievements of all students, whānau and the whole school on a regular basis.

Earlier this year our students were fortunate enough to have members of the Nothern Stars Netball team visit our kura and run some Netball drills with our junior netball teams.

A special mention to an alumni of our kura Amorangi Malesala for promoting Te Reo Māori through netball!

We are extremely proud that our four speakers did exceptionally well at the Ngā Manu kōrero regional competition. Their placings were:

Congratulations to our Senior Ki-O-Rahi team for taking 1st place at the National Secondary School Ki-O-Rahi competition over the school holidays in Waitangi!

 

An awesome effort from our students winning all their games and taking out the finals against Te Wharekura o Rakaumangamanga 11 to 4

Waka Ama 2021

On behalf of the Kura we would like to congratulate all our students who represented Te Kura Māori o Ngā Tapuwae at this years National Waka Ama competition.

Both our Boys and Girls team making it to Plate Semis in all their races which meant they were in the top 20 out of 80 schools within New Zealand.

Morning Tea

A cohort of our students along with Ma Bahar were invited to attend a morning tea hosted by Zayed College for Girls.

This morning tea was to give thanks to the community and organisations who have supported Zayed College for Girls over the years. We hold our partnership with Zayed College for girls in high regard and thank them for their invitation to this morning tea.

It is with great honour that we congratulate our Ahurea team as they competed at the Te Ahurea Tino Rangatiratanga competition. Placing 2nd and qualifying for the Kapa Haka Nationals held in Auckland 2020
