Greetings to all!  Please see below the protocols that have been enforced by our Kura regarding access for parents/guardians and other services people and the like.  Please be reminded that these measures have been put into place under the guidance of 2 ministry departments - Education and Health.  We have been given guidance by Ministry of Health and Education to be cautious with the looming Omicron variant that is currently threatening our communities.   As a kura we have decided to begin the term in the Red Traffic Light protocols.

IMPORTANT NOTE:  We welcome ALL STUDENTS from year 1 to 13 - regardless of their vaccination status.  No student will be required to show their vaccination pass to enter the school. It is not the business of our kura to make judgements on whanau’s rights to vaccinate or not be vaccinated ALL our tamariki are welcome!

However we ask parents/guardians, service staff and the like, to maintain Government guidelines - refer to the guidelines below for acceptable entry to our Kura grounds, including classrooms, recreation areas, back carpark, whare wānanga and administration area.  We ask for your support to help us keep the school open by following these protocols.

  1. You must wear a mask upon entry into the Kura and for the duration of your visit.

  2. You must show your My Vaccine Passport at the office doors.

  3. Then you must scan or sign in, sanitize your hands, and practice social distancing while on school premises.

  4. If you are unable to provide a Vaccine Passport you will be required to remain outside the office doors and an administration staff member will look after  you.

~ All payments can be made via the mobile Eftpos machine.

~ When dropping and picking up children please ensure that you do so safely.

~ Please be sure of uniform sizes as you will not be permitted to enter the uniform area.

~ Entry requirements stand for on-site trainings and/or sports games.

All students Year 4 and above required to wear face masks at school unless we are informed otherwise.  Please ensure your child/ren have a mask that has been clearly named if your children required one we are happy to provide these at kura.

Finally, there will not be a full school pōwhiri this year to welcome our new students.  All new students can only be accompanied by 1 vaccinated parent to ensure we are not gathering above the mandatory gathering numbers.  Please sign in at the main office upon arrival and you will be directed to a waiting area until the pōwhiri starts.  Parents of students who are in our younger classes (Years 1 to 6) will be able to accompany their children to their new classrooms and then we kindly ask you to leave.

Ngā mihi nui ki a koutou katoa,

Nā Te Whānau o Te Kura Māori o Ngā Tapuwae.
